Rich Pruszynski brings more than twenty years of leadership experience in youth development, coaching, and nonprofit management to Red Arrow Camp. His career has been defined by one consistent mission: helping young people grow in confidence, character, and resilience.
For nearly two decades, Rich served as an executive with the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA)—a nationally recognized nonprofit that partners with schools and athletic organizations to ensure children have positive, character-building experiences in sports. Through PCA, Rich led large-scale initiatives that trained coaches, parents, and youth leaders across the country in best practices for mentorship, communication, and healthy team culture.
His work has centered on creating environments where children can thrive through challenge, develop mental toughness, and learn life lessons through sport and community—values that align closely with Red Arrow’s mission.
Rich is an accomplished lacrosse coach with a long history of building teams grounded in strong culture and accountability. He spent fifteen years at Marquette University High School, where he became a record-setting head coach and won multiple state championships. After relocating to Michigan, he joined the coaching staff at Hope College, helping guide the women’s lacrosse program to three straight NCAA tournament appearances.
Beyond the wins, Rich is known for developing athletes who are confident, self-directed, and team-oriented—skills that carry far beyond the field.
Rich’s relationship with Red Arrow spans more than twenty years. He spent five summers on staff in the early 2000s and was awarded the Pete Johnson Award, one of camp’s highest honors for leadership and character. He previously served on the Red Arrow Camp Foundation Advisory Board, contributing strategic guidance and helping shape long-term planning and program quality.
This longstanding connection gives Rich both a personal understanding of camp’s traditions and a professional perspective on how to strengthen them for today’s boys.
McKenzie Beeby has been part of Red Arrow his entire life. Since his first summer in 2003, he has embraced nearly every role camp has to offer, building over two decades of experience. Over the years, he has served as a cookie, stable boy, counselor, and ultimately as a member of the senior staff.
Before stepping into his role as Acting Director, McKenzie built a career in marketing, working with organizations such as the American Red Cross, Garden of Life, Hunter Douglas, Gensler Architects, and Adobe.
Today, he serves as Associate Director for Red Arrow. During the winter months, he and his wife Kara—our camp nurse—make their home in Vail, Colorado, where they enjoy skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and camping. McKenzie is also a co-founder of one of the largest online support resources for men in the United States. Each spring, he and Kara eagerly await the thaw of Trout Lake so they can return to Red Arrow once again.
