2024 was a record year for RACF’s fundraising efforts with over $680 thousand donated by through 155 gifts from individuals and foundations. $2.427 million has now been raised during the SCC with one-year (2025) remaining. A heartfelt thanks to our 2024 contributors and the more than 500 donors who have participated in the Second Century Campaign thus far. Your generosity has increased RACF’s financial reserves from $585 thousand in 2018 to just over $2.1 million at the end of 2024. Importantly, we have also invested approximately $1 million in facilities and capital equipment projects and nearly $600 thousand in camper scholarships during the Campaign. Our 2024 fundraising results were fueled by two large (six-figure) gifts. The first came in support of the Ben Black Scholarship program last summer. Then in December, the Souder Family Foundation made a substantial multi-year gift in memory of Scott Souder, who passed away last fall. These gifts produced strong results in the Bob and Sue Krohn Club ($1,000+) which had 76 gifts totaling $663 thousand. That compares to 69 gifts totaling $287 thousand in 2023. We also had great support from members of the Lil Joe giving club ($300-$999) and the Patrons’ giving club ($1-$299). In terms of gift designation, Camp’s Choice led the way with 75 percent of the gift
income coming unrestricted. 21 percent was donated to the Foundation’s scholarship funds (Ben Black, Boesel, ETM, Pete Johnson, and TEK) with the balance donated for specific projects.
