Red Arrow gets its campers from three sources. Ordinarily, approximately 60 enrolled campers are returners from the previous summer(s). 5 boys typically enroll whose families discovered camp online, either through search engines or as a result of our online advertising. Referrals, boys who have some connection to camp through family or friends, represent the third leg or our enrollment stool and have averaged 28 new campers over the last four recruitment cycles. One thing is clear in the data, referrals tend to make or break our enrollment numbers. For example, we were 8 boys short of our enrollment goal last summer and that was entirely a function of fewer referrals, 18 versus the average of 28.
The good news is that, as of December 10th, 2024, among our 68 enrolled campers for summer 2025, we already have 11 from referrals. Thanks to those of you that have already helped us to identify these new campers. We need at least 19 more referrals to achieve our 2025 enrollment goal, and we want to show our appreciation for this effort to fill camp. That is why we announced our new referral program last month to make it extremely easy to recommend a family to us and sweeten the deal for you and the family you are referring to Camp.
Discounts
Alumni/Friend of RAC – Any Alumni/Friend who refers a new camper to us will receive a $150 gift card to the Red Arrow Camp Store! Use this gift card on yourself or forward it to the new family you brought to camp. That would cover all the mandatory clothing each camper is required to purchase at the start of each summer!
Current Families – If your son is already enrolled at camp this summer and you refer someone else who signs up, you will receive a $250 discount off your tuition!
Current Staff – Any Counselor or staff member who is hired this summer will receive a $250 bonus on their paycheck for any new campers who they recommend to camp and enroll this summer.

We’ve built a new form to make it easier than ever to refer a new camper to us. One important note, make sure you refer someone before they apply to camp. These referral discounts aren’t applied retroactively.
Schedule A Home Visit
Home visits have been a great way for our Red Arrow community to give their extended family and friends to learn more about camp. They get the chance to meet the Directors, as well as current, and former campers from the surrounding area.
