Dear Families, Alumni, and Friends of Red Arrow Camp,
After much deliberation and thought, it is with a heavy heart and great sadness that on behalf of Red Arrow Camp and our Foundation, I share with you that it is necessary for us to cancel our 2020 season at this time. We have faith you understand that we considered all factors that lead to this decision, leading always with a commitment to the health and safety of our campers and staff.
National and Local Health Departments have recently outlined clear directives and guidelines that do not make it possible for us to offer our unique camp experience. While heartbreaking, we accept these directives. We know that now more than ever our boys, families, and community need us. To say this has been devastating for us is an understatement. We promise that we will put an entirely new level of focus to our response to this setback with a strong commitment to coming back stronger than ever for Summer 2021.
Our Commitment to You
If there is ever a time where we need to support, and stay connected with each other, that time is now and on through 2021. It is our intention and hope that we can continue to nurture and maintain our relationship with you in coming months with the expectation that we reconvene for perhaps the most magical “re-boot” of our centennial summer ever imagined. Our 2021 season will take place from June 23rd to August 11th, with our 100 Year Anniversary celebration following from the 12th-15th. We promise you that we will maintain our commitment to you now and on through the start of our second century. Your voice and belief in us serve as the needed conduit to keep the Red Arrow experience alive and well for generations to come.
Thank you for your support and trust in us. Your recent words of support have served as motivation and inspiration to us all. An unprecedented pandemic such as this has forced many of us to evaluate our priorities and we have faith that Red Arrow Camp remains high on your list. We look forward to staying connected regularly with you until Summer 2021. We may not be delivering our one of a kind RAC experience this summer, but you can rest assured that we will be eagerly looking forward to the next time we are able to gather on the shores of Trout Lake.
Finally, please take a few minutes of uninterrupted time with your family close to hear a message from me as we look ahead down the trail. On Red Arrow.
Sincerely, Eric Roche
Director of Red Arrow Camp for Boys.
